The jaws tightly grip from the pens of 1/5" to bowls of 4", and they can expand to hold the inside of large bowls which larger than jaws. The chuck automatically centers the workpiece when the jaws are tightened, ensuring symmetric alignment with the lathe's axis. This process maintains accuracy and prevents wobble during turning, making setup and securing the workpiece easier without manual adjustments.
