Cherry Wood is one of my favorite wood types to build with. I have built cabinetry, doors, Celtic harps, and furniture out of cherry wood. The bowl you see in this posting comes with some of the most interesting cherry wood grain that you will ever find. It is made from a single solid piece of wood (not sections glued together). It measures just a pinch over 12 inches in diameter.

The height of the bowl is 3 5/8 inches in height. It is finished with 12 coats of satin lacquer. The bottom of the bowl is coved out so that it rests perfectly flat on your desk or table top.
